baby's 1st birthday card

At the last minute I realized I needed to make a card for Camree's birthday so with 30 minutes to spare I went to work. I liked how some of the other cards she recieved had a #1 on them so I decided to follow suit. I looked through my number stamps and found one I thought would work and started playing around with it but I did not like it. Then I remembered I had some chipboard #'s so I found a #1 in my pack and it was perfect. Then I was sorting through my scrap paper drawer and picked out something that would be cute to cover the chipboard. I found a peice of cardstock that would coordinate with it, and some other paper that would coordinate for the background. I also punched out the butterfly twice with some paper and stampled it together. After that I used dimensionals to glue them on and give it a pop or 3-D effect. And of course I stamped the birthday greeting which was right over the other stamped image that was already on the cardstock which just worked out to be fine with me. It just goes to show how you can create anything and make it work without much of a plan in mind; the ideas just come to you as you are going along.

Just Getting Started

I finally decided to create my own blog so here it is. Any suggestions? I have been browsing online and have seen some really nice blogs and also thought to start my blog after seeing the young women's blog. I would like to post pictures of some of my card and scrapbook projects eventually. You can also find other project ideas and order products from me at denise_hiatt.stampinup.net.
